Since he began working on his second album a year and a half ago, Will Knew he wanted a definitive distinction between his debut CD Sanctuary and His newest project.
His main goal was showing his growth both as an artist and as a person.
Also showing he was able to create music with story intricacies and diversity that didn't mirror other artists before him.
Be Here for you (available July 2007) is the second solo album from
Will. It melds Will's unique vocal delivery with his penchant for creative songwriting, passion and soulfulness.
Will's creation comes from personal experiences over the last couple of years.
Along with helping friends cope and work through their life and relationship issues Will also worked through his own personal growth. It's an album that showcases themes of love, but the occasional heartache vibe peaks through." I wanted people to identify personally with this record and to feel a connection between what I was saying, and any given scenario going on in their own lives." "I think people internalize music more when they have gone through what the songs express."
With this in mind, creating "Be Here for You" was tricky and rewarding
at the same time. Will's producer Joel Dean had the daunting task of
bringing Will's very diverse musical ideas to life. Will wanted to
incorporate R&B, Reggaeton, Pop, Salsa, elements of Rock and dancehall into his music.
And he accomplished what he set out to do.
Always the one to tackle challenges, before embarking on his own solo
crusade Will became the front man for the 90's synth pop group, Carol
Masters, who while on tour opened for such acts as Anything Box and
Modern English. As with his first project "Sanctuary", Will co-produced and financed his second solo album on his own.
Another of Will's Greatest accomplishments was his performance at Madison Square Garden and B.B king's in New York City for the New York Film and Video Festival. Those performances garnered Will an award for outstanding achievement.
Determined to be an innovator and renaissance man through his music,
There is no telling which direction he will go next. One thing is certain it is sure to be an exciting ride...
